I first ate here years ago, but started eati here more after I found out I have celiac. It nice to know I can still enjoy my favorite comfort foods. I took my family to one of their locations last weekend and they could not believe the quality of their cheeseburgers. My personal favorite is the chicken sandwich because it is the best 1 for 1 substitute for a fried chicken sandwich and the additional toppings make it even more delicious. You can't even tell it or the fries are gluten free! It's always one of my personal go to's.

This is a story of two reviews. The chicken was delicious, very good. But, it was a very small portion for the price. The mashed potatoes and gravy were okay, nothing special. The green beans were undercooked, nearly raw, with no seasoning. There were issues with my order, seemingly with DoorDash. But I was a bit disappointed.

This place used to be great. The past few times we have ordered from here they have either sent us the wrong order, left entire entrees off, or sent us entrees missing the key ingredients that make said entree (ex: biscuits and gravy with no gravy). This time around I ordered the Bow to the King and it is sad. Two small biscuits that I have a hard time believing are made in house and 3 chicken tenders that are literally twice the size of my pinky finger. The biscuits were completely left out of my wife's two egg breakfast. $18 for two eggs and two strips of bacon is a bit ridiculous. If this was the first time something like this had occurred, maybe I could write it off, but this is the third or fourth time in a row that we have had issues with the food from here. For how much it costs, I would expect much better quality and attention to detail. Save yourself the frustration and get Hardee's or something instead, where at least if they mess it up or leave items off or it seems like it was under a heat lamp since yesterday, it won't be a massive disappointment.

C'mon Early Girl, you're better than this!
Consider this a plea to do better from a local family that considers y'all our favorite breakfast spot. Since Helene locals wanting to support local business have kinda been taking it on the chin paying higher prices for less quality and food. But it's been worth it to eat in with real plates and silverware and glasses! And to see our community makin a comeback. But $3.50 for half a golfball size unripe avocado is eyebrow raising.

Bow to the King would've been tastier and more satisfying if the restaurant had included the maple syrup. Item description in DoorDash says it was supposed to be served with maple syrup. I ate dry biscuits and chicken. The chicken tenders were fried fresh and tasty, but overall disappointed. Portion size was good value but again without maple syrup the dish was not complete. Not sure if I'll order again, but if I do I'll keep a spare bottle of maple syrup.
