I've usually ordered the sushi deluxe from here, we get the 20 piece chef's choice which is always delicious and a great variety. It has several pieces with jalapeño (the allergy alert doesn't have that as a choice unfortunately so I can't eat everything but I get enough). Edamame Steamed is always excellent (a little under salted for my taste but I have salt) and the Unagi (Freshwater Eel) is one of the best in Austin (not quite as crispy as I prefer but the perfect amount of sauce).
This time I was having a craving, so I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass
Let me tell you, it was savory and sweet and umami, light and flaky. I finished it and wanted to order another.
I highly recommend Ebisu for Japanese cuisine. A little on the pricey side but overall worth it.

the course b is soooo good. loved 6/10 of the nigiri and the spicy tuna is solid. amazing value for the portion size and super fresh. def would order again but may ask for a different type of nigiri if possible

Genuinely the freshest most flavorful sushi around. The fish is amazing and high quality, great portion for the prices, 10/10 will order again.

I like the sushi at Ebisu, although delivery is always a bit of a surprise. I can't take a photo of my food if I order Brussels sprouts because the container is invariably turned upside down, soaking the other containers, napkins, etc. (But the Brussels sprouts are delicious and I keep ordering them.) The tasty seaweed salad is also a standard in my order. I got used to the pickles that have always been in it. Tonight there were no pickles. I was sad. I'm just starting on my sushi roll. I know it will be delicious. Ebisu's food is always fresh, even if a bit disheveled at times.
