German food gets a bad wrap in the US for being nothing but breaded fried food. Unfortunately, that's just German-American food.
Eidelweiss attaches fruit or veggies of some variety or another to almost every meal, and they are absolutely fresh. I can safely order a soup, salad, and iced tea lunch here, and know it will be healthy, delicious, fresh, AND affordable all in one.
THANK YOU, Edelweiss, for your continued excellence and dedication to amazing food, truly second time none. You are not only the best German restaurant in town, but you are THE BEST restaurant in town.

Probably one of the worst takeout experiences I’ve had, especially for the price. I’ve eaten at Edelweiss twice in person and had a completely different experience, so I was honestly shocked by how disappointing this DoorDash order was. I spent around $150, and unfortunately, this will be my first and last time ordering delivery from them.
The Riesen Bretzel was stale, hard, and genuinely disappointing. I’ve had better pretzels at a Switchbacks game. The Sauerbraten and Cordon Bleu Veal Bleu Veal were easily the biggest letdowns. Not only were the portion sizes almost laughable for the price, but the flavor of both entrées was completely off. Neither tasted anything like what I expected based on my previous experiences eating here in person. It’s crazy how much more food you seem to get when dining in compared to deliver these portions felt more like kids’ meals.
The Potato Pancakes were thankfully the one thing we actually enjoyed. The tortes weren’t bad overall, but the Mocha Mousse Hazelnut Torte was questionable and just didn’t taste right.
For $150, I expected the quality, flavor, and portions to be at least somewhat comparable to dining in. Instead, we got a stale pretzel, tiny entrées that didn’t even taste good, and a dessert that seemed off. Extremely disappointing and absolutely not worth what we paid. I definitely won’t be ordering delivery from Edelweiss again.

Chicken Cordon Bleu was not a whole chicken breast, it was 4 small pieces and tasted pre-packaged, like something you'd buy frozen from Costco. Desserts tasted like old fridge air. The veal bratwurst was good, the only redeeming dish!

SauerbratenSauerbraten lacked flavor and was not made the way it used to be. Jägerschnitzel the schnitzel itself was fine but the gravy tasted like a poorly mixed gravy packet. the vegetables were hard and nearly raw. the spatzel was not fresh and was very greasy
this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I'm so sad to have had this experience.

A year or so ago, the food was really really good. Something happened, it's really not good anymore. I mentioned this to owner, and there has been a change, the food actually got worse. Don't take my word try it yourself. It really isn't good anymore.
