• 9/17/24El Asador has been in this area for quite awhile and for good reason. Of all the Hispanic restaurants in this area (Fredericksburg) this is by far the most authentic. I ordered the Pupusa de Chicharron a Side de Frijoles \ Beans and side of Spanish rice and all of it was spot on delicious. I take food seriously as a professional chef, that is my life and my passion...... if you're hungry for something with authentic Latin flavor, head to El Asador, it will not disappoint!

• 7/25/25Not alot of yall are talking about them !!!!!! I ate that Taco De Birria Platota so fast! It's so good. The rice is cooked to perfection. The Pupusa Frijol Y Queso are hot and crispy. 1000/10. Take the time to treat yourself! I pretty picky when it comes to my Taco De Birria Plato but the consommé is my favortie thing to eat/drink. The best one I had was in New Jersey. But when I had this one I knew it was going to be my new favorite place. Dont think twice !! Order it!

• 5/20/26Absolutely DELICIOUS! I've never tried this place before, and I can honestly say that I was NOT disappointed. Usually, when I order from Mexican places, I stick with one thing, but they didn't have what I was looking for. But they did have a lot of other stuff I've always wanted to try. So I decided now was the time!
My boyfriend got the Quesadilla de Asada and he said, "Man, I really wish we had ordered more!" - So it's safe to say, he really enjoyed it. It was flavorful and delicious!
I've never had Tamales before, so I got the Tamales De Gallina & Tamales De Elote and both were really good as well! I didn't expect the sweet-ish flavor it had, but it was great! My FAVORITE dish that I got to try for the first time, was the Sopes De Carne/Pollo (2) and my god, I'm pretty sure that's my new favorite dish... I didn't realize it had beans on it, and I typically hate beans. But when I say I didn't actually mind it on this, I mean it. It was delicious, had great flavor, and my mind was blown. I'll DEFINITELY be ordering that again from here whenever I can!
The Pupusas de Pollo & Queso-Pupusas was also very delicious. I got those just in case I didn't like the Sopes De Carne/Pollo (2), because I know I like Pupusas, and they're just as delicious as others I've gotten from other places.
The Horchata -- Now, I LOVE horchata, and my only complaint is that I didn't order more, honestly. Amazing taste, and well worth it.
The Side de Arroz was definitely different from other rice I've gotten from other Mexican places. It had a more unique flavor to it. It was pretty good, for sure. But I think that's the only thing I really wasn't super keen on.
overall, this place is a 10 out of 10, would order again, and I 100% recommend you get the Sopes De Carne/Pollo (2) !!! (I got the Carne - not the Pollo) That & the Horchata was my favorite thing.
Packaged well, very tasty, and will absolutely, order from here again in the future. Heck, I'll actually go in person.

• 2/23/23Pupusas locas were on point. very tasty and almost like in El Salvador. chicken tamales are just OK, can tell they were frozen at some point and that they lack shortening and stock. packed properly and decently priced will definitely eat again

• 6/4/23The Taco de Camarón / Shrimp Taco were tastless and a big disappointment. Each taco has only 3 very small shrimp. There were more cilantro and jalapeños than shrimp. Selectos has much better tacos de camarón.
