Every time they got my order wrong, and the flavor is bland. Not authentic Mexican food at all. The refried beans came out of a can.

This was our first time trying this restaurant. It was okay, but it wasn't great. The food was mushy, and I had weird vegetables on top of my enchiladas (sliced radishes?). Also, I paid for two drinks, but my delivery guy said they were not on the ticket when he picked up my order. I sent him my receipt which shows I did pay for drinks, so he was kind enough to go back and show the restaurant that I did pay for two drinks, and he picked them up for me. I'm not writing off El Catrin yet, though! I understand sometimes delivery can be different than eating in the restaurant. I think this is owned by the same people who own El Cerro Tacos, and I LOVE that place, so I'll try this one again in the future.

We have ordered from here a few times and it's always been good. Case in point: the Fajita Taco Salad steak was great, well-cooked, and evenly seasoned. We love the carne asada burrito, sampler app, and queso.
But tonight must have been an off night. We ordered new things that we couldn't finish: the Salmón a la plancha was over-cooked (so dry) and tasted very fishy (not normal for salmon); the rice-veggie mix was not even salted so everything tasted the same. The (3) CRUNCHY TACOS BEEF had a funky taste, probably the seasoning, and the crispy shells do not translate well to delivery (soggy). Perhaps if we had eaten in, things would have been better. Perhaps if they'd pulled the salmon a few minutes early and packaged the taco filling separate from the shells, things would have been better. Sadly, though, it was an off night for El Catrin.
This will not deter us from returning. Lesson learned on our end.

How does a Mexican restaurant screw up a taco? Fell apart and no lettuce or tomato. Beef and cheese is not a taco. The Bell does better than this.
