El Charro Cafe never disappoints. I ordered the Charro Grill. This steak & enchilada is a traditional combination that arrived with the steak perfectly cooked and the red enchilada sauce perfectly prepared. I never have enough sauce but the chance to get perfect red enchilada sauce in Tucson is worth the want. Entrees are always accompanied with rice, (I chose )refried beans, and Calabacitas, and a choice of tortillas ( I chose corn and they were fresh and fab). A box of chips and a generous amount of salsa came as well. Very satisfying and for me enough for two meals.

I've ordered this dish many times. It was steamed shrimp with a beautiful creamy verde sour cream sauce. Now, Sinaloa Shrimp Culichi s covered with a ton of cheese, spicy shrimp and just not good or how it used to be, sadly. I had to put sour cream on top to cool it off. Very disappointing for the price. Why did you change the recipe? Won't order from here again.again

Everything was tasty but for $4 was really pricey for a small container and a bit brown on top of the Side Small Guac.
El Charro Cafe's Carne Seca Relleno was excellent with Xmas sauce. Beans, rice and Side Calabacitas were great.

The Tucson's Enchiladas Sonorenses was presented completely different than the picture you see. I received two big extra fat corn masa patties that were uncooked in the middle with not enough Chile sauce to chase all that masa down. They also came with small speckles of powdered corona cheese, and nothing else. The albóndiga soup had day old Mexican rice in the the quart, thrown in as an after-thought, and three meatballs. VERY DISAPPOINTED, for the money I handed you.

I love El Charro in person, but this is the second time I've ordered delivery and it's just as bad as the first time, which I was hoping was a fluke.
When it's hot and fresh in person everything tastes great. But delivered? - food is dried up and sad. We get the combos so a little bit of everything. For example, Enchiladas with cheese not cooked, enchiladas with cheese cook so much it's hard, etc.
El Charro, I'll see you for happy hour, but delivery no more.
