• 6/21/266/21/26: First time ordering from EL SAZON DE LA TIA was 6/17 ordered the Campechana Grande, Horchata, and two Coca colas {See Review 6/17}, Second time was 6/19 ordered the Vuelve La Vida {Grande}, Horchata and two cokes {See Review 6/19}. Just two days later, and the third time ordering from here. Today I will order Shrimp 🍤 & Octopus 🐙 Cocktail {Grande} with cucumber 🥒, tomatoes 🍅,onion, and avocado 🥑 . Order arrived, The Horchata,sweet Mexican rice drink flavored with cinnamon and vanilla , creamy and cold comes in a tall plastic cup filled with great sweet flavor🥛. After drinking 1/2, I add Coca Cola to the Horchata and mix and you get a foam, creamsicle drink with a cola cinnamon flavor mix🧋I call this drink “Sucio Horchata” and once you’ve tried it……you won’t drink a Horchata any other way “It’s the Bomb 💣! The only problem with this drink is when I’m done and the cup is empty 😋. Since discovering this restaurant on 6/17/26 I’ve ALWAYS had great tasting dishes every time I’ve ordered. The Shrimp & Octopus cocktail came in a 24 Oz. Plastic container filled with delicious Fresh cooked BIG pieces of Shrimp, chopped up pieces of Octopus in a cocktail sauce with FRESH sliced avocado, diced onions, diced cucumber making the dish so flavorful and tasty😋. By the time you get the bottom of the container, you still have so much more Shrimp & Octopus on the bottom still to try and finish.
Just like the Horchata, I added Coca Cola to the cocktail sauce giving it a vey good swieet and tangy taste😋😋😋😋😋. I’ve tried many different *Mexican restaurants for their version of Shrimp cocktail and EL SAZON DE LA TIA IS THE BEST🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇. They make four different types of Cocteles and I’ve tried 3 out of 4. The last one I will try another day is Shrimp Cocktail..

I ordered the Campechana {Grande} {$22.18} which includes Shrimp 🍤, Octopus 🐙, 🦀 Crab, Clam🦪, and Abalone, with tomatoes 🍅, onions 🧅, cilantro 🌿, avocado 🥑 in a very tasty cocktail sauce 😋😋😋😋😋. I poured a can of Coca Cola with the Campechana added an extra tasty flavor to the dish 😋😋😋In addition I had the Horchata and a Coca Cola. I took the Horchata and Coke and mixed them together resulting in a creamy, sweet, flavorful drink🥛🧋. Try it this way and you won’t drink a Horchata any other way {see review & Photos}

Remove the plastic wrap from the Horchata, nice tall cup filled up with a nice white in color milk. Taste 😊 good. Added Coca Cola to the Horchata and now it turns brown and foamy with nice cola~Horchata taste, creamy “Sucio Horchata “,
This is second of four different shrimp cocktail they offer/make. The Vuelve à la Vida is really good, full of shrimp 🍤, diced Octopus 🐙, and oysters 🦪. The sauce is tomato sauce and poured Coca Cola into the cocktail and added a whole new flavor. This restaurant has become my Go To restaurant when I’m craving a Shrimp Cocktail {Used to be Taqueria Zarape ~,Seaside}.

From their Coctels I’ve ordered the Campechana, Vuelve La Vida {Grande}, and the Shrimp and Octopus {Grande}Cocktail. All three contain Shrimp & Octopus as main ingredient and then others have 🦀 crab, oysters 🦪, abalone just made a variety ways. Receive the order in a white plastic bag, and inside nothing but goodness and tasty food😋.As always well packaged, everything needed and ordered in the bag. Utensil, Napkins, Crackers, El Tapatio hot sauce, 24 Oz plastic container of goodness, and can of Coke. I drink a portion of my Horchata and immediately taste the cinnamon and rich vanilla taste 😋. Now ADD Coca Cola into the cup of Horchata and it turns from a creamy milky white to a Caramel brown foamy creamy drink that taste the best! Warning ⚠️: Try this with your Horchata and you won’t ever drink it any other way. Creamy, smooth, flavorful, foamy, like a root beer float. Remember next time you order a Horchata, mix it with a Coca Cola.. Si’ se puede! 🫶🏽
This restaurant delivers nothing but good flavor, freshness, and consistent with the making of the dishes. 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 yes, Gold medal when it comes to their Coctels. Big pieces of Shrimp 🍤, nice fresh slice avocado 🥑 filled up so much when you reach the bottom there’s still large amounts of shrimp on the bottom. I also add Coca Cola to the cocktail sauce and you get a spicy sweet taste 😋Definitely if you want a Great tasting, Fresh and Flavorful Cocktail, then order from El Sazon de la Tia BEST IN THE BAY🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇{See photos). I wish they made Menudo because I’m sure it would be really good if they did.

El Sazon De La Tia {Castroville}, Famous for the ARTICHOKE, it’s also where Marilyn Monroe was Artichoke Queen {1948}. I ordered Campechana Grande {Shrimp🍤, Octopus 🐙, crab 🦀, clam 🦪, and Abalone} with veggie in a cocktail sauce $19.99}I also ordered Agua Horchata {$4.69} and {2} 12 oz cans of Coca Cola {$6.58}. I’ve tried different restaurants all over for their version of Campechana, Shrimp 🦐 and Octopus 🐙 cocktail.1} Sarita’s Mexican Grill, Monterey {$16.99}; 2} Taqueria Zarape, Seaside {$20.99}😋😋😋😋😋🥇3} Barba Azul, Seaside {$24.49}, I’ve tried Sarita’s Mexican grill & Zarape Taqueria several times. My Favorite is Taqueria Zarape; Plentiful of Shrimp 🍤 and cut up big pieces of 🐙 and big fresh pieces of avocado 🥑 and spiced perfect in a 24 oz container filled up all the way😋😋😋😋😋. Taqueria Zarape also has the Best tasting Menudo{$15.25} served hot in a 24oz container filled with lots of meat and tripe. Only thing they don’t use is Hominy and/or bones in their Menudo. Hopefully the Campechana cocktail will be just as flavorful, fresh, and tasty as Taqueria Zarape. 🙏🤔 . They definitely offer a lot included than other restaurants adding 🦀, clam🦪, and abalone with the shrimp and octopus.The Horchata; I will mix with a can of Coca Cola and make a delicious combination with the flavors that tantalize your taste 👅 buds {Dirty Horchata 🧋}.
