Food was fresh and delicious! Chicken Caesar Wrap was a nice size portion, crispy lettuce and nice amount of dressing. Fries were also very yummy. Would definitely order again!

Ive been patronizing Eros Cafe for as long as I can remember. Before they were forced to move to this new location due to unfortunate circumstances. Always delicious, always consistent, always a friendly staff. Im not sure who the owner is nowadays, but I remember the original owner had PRIDE in this place and was very hands on. He cared about the freshness of the food served and the VALUE his customers got to enjoy which in turn ensured they'd keep coming back. Its one of the main reasons I came to respect Eros Cafe.
However, in the past few months, it seems the price of everything they offer has been climbing while the portion sizes have remained the same. I understand that we are experiencing a steep inflation on most foodstuffs, but $26 for a chicken wrap and fries is pure madness. At this price, it would be $104 to feed 4 people 1 WRAP! I mean, where do we draw the line? Even at $20 (the price if you buy directly from them, not on DoorDash) it's overpriced for what you get.
Ive owned food service businesses so im completely sympathetic to the struggles of staying afloat especially when the economy sucks. But one golden rule I always lived by was - unless completely unavoidable - to NEVER MAKE THE CUSTOMER PAY TOO MUCH because when you do it tells them you're no longer concerned with their satisfaction or whether they choose to return ever again.
I called Eros on the night I placed this order to ask if this $26 Chicken Caesar Wrap & fries was a mistake after seeing it was still $20 on their menu. I explained that I paid $20 in the recent past and $15 another time because there was a $5 OFF coupon and said "You have to admit, $26 is nuts!"
Whomever I was speaking to AGREED, but he explained that DoorDash charges 30% so they had no choice but to reflect that 30% onto the customer. He said if I came to pick the food up, id pay the $20 +tax.
Being a former food service businesses owner, im afraid someone at Eros Cafe is doing something terribly wrong if they have found no way to avoid charging us $26 for a wrap & fries. An experienced manager would find ways to cut costs and reduce unnecessary spending so that the prices can remain at least reasonable.
A $26 sandwich tells me money is leaking somewhere it shouldn't be and I sincerely do hope someone over there figures it out before we lose another amazing locally owned staple.
