I love the food at Essex N.Y. Pizza. They’re so consistent in their fresh food and recipes. I mostly order for delivery (pizza, subs, salads) but will always wander in after a movie at Cinema Salem for a slice of pizza or a wrap. Their pizza is authentic to the NY city style sauce and thin crispy crust. Their salads are not skimpy, and the ingredients are always fresh. One of my favorites is their steak sub: they know how to grill the steak without drying it out. Their customer service people are consistently awesome.

the Cheese Pizza - Large is good & pretty thin, probably great when it was hot, but it came cold. the Buffalo Tender Sandwich is very disappointing as there were maybe 2 and a half tenders in the sub and for almost $20 for it.. you'd expect a fair serving.. otherwise, the sub is just lettuce tomatoes and a slice of cheese, and mayo or mustard (because they dont offer BC or ranch for some reason!) the tenders themselves were great, though, and I would try them again not in the sandwhich.

I gave 3 stars because I love Essex's food typically. I only have one complaint, the prices are extremely over inflated and don't match the quantity. $20 for a cesar salad, I was charged $3 dollars and change to add hardboiled egg to my salad and they litterally added one tiny hard boiled egg. I don't mind paying more then typical restaurants for better food, but you need to stop being skimpy with the quantity. DO BETTER ESSEX. Please i dont want to have to stop ordering from here.

Excellent salads with some of the best pita bread around. Everything is fresh and at a higher level than the average pizza shop.
