OUR STORY The Felix’s story is the story of the New Orleans Oyster Bar. Ask any New Orleanian where their Paw-Paw (or Grandpa or Poppy or Auntie) went for oysters and the answer you’ll get is Felix…
BBQ shrimp pasta was just okay, sauce could have been less creamy more flavor.
Pasta Felix was good, I did no oysters sub mushrooms.
House salad was a good size, great value for $5.99.

The shrimp and grits was like a soup, way too much butter sauce or whatever they put on it, barely any grits in it and what grits they did have were severely undercooked. The whiskey bread pudding had really good flavor but the sauce separated so there was just a chunk of granulated sugar at the bottom of the sauce. The jambalaya, red beans, and etoufee were all just okay. There's better Cajun/seafood in this town.

Ordered a shrimp poboy and received a roast beef poboy instead (the roast beef wasn't even an option on the order menu), fish taco poboy sandwich was just fish tacos.. no sandwich involved, and for the price of the blackened shrimp it was minuscule amount of protein and flavor was decent just not what I was expecting.

Ordered the the shrimp and oyster plate for $23 and got 5 shrimp and 5 oysters. Both of which were soggy and tasteless. Also, Ordered a side of onion rings for $7 and got 4 soggy onion rings.
I won't be ordering food here again because it's a ripoff. I plan on contacting the restaurant directly to request a refund.

I always want to love this place and yet I'm always disappointed. The oyster Bienville were delicious m, as were the grits. Everything else was bland, mediocrity.
The fried oysters had no oomph or juice or flavor.
The bbq shrimp was rich but missing herbs or... something. The shrimp themselves were so over cooked it took 10 minutes EACH to pick the shell out of the shrimp meat.
The oyster artichoke soup had one tiny oyster and was in desperate need of some depth. Even just a pinch of salt might have helped. It tasted unfinished.
For the prices they charge I expect food made by people who know and love food. They serve food that taste like teenagers on an assembly line made it.
