Absolutely the very BEST pizza we've ever eaten! (And yes, we spent 30-days in Italy.) The blend of flavors was spectacular...and I don't even like olives. I've always loved Fillips...but this was the best!

Usually we order from the Broadway (Chula vista) location. Filippi's is my favorite in all of San Diego (usually they are similar with the other locations). The reason that i love filippi's is the san marzano tomato sauce (might be cento sauce, which I love) and the crust density being slight chewy and flavorful. This locations sauce tasted like low quality canned sauce and chewing the crust made it feel like my jaw was going to fall off. I don't know if these are recent deliberate changes but if they are, im not loving the change and they should revert. Maybe they were having an off day...

A "large" Cesar salad with a "large" portion of chicken. See the chicken? No, neither did we. So much for a $35 salad....

I keep forgetting to ask for the Side of Sausage Well done. It was barely warm while looking and tasting undercooked. We weren't able to enjoy that portion of our dinner during our last two orders. It would be amazing with another 10 mins in the oven. Their Tiramisu is amazing. I'll give that a good 8 or 9. The Garlic Bread arrived to us hard, cold, and crunchy. Spaghetti was cold :--( The bill was about $113 this time. I think it was $100 last time.

Yesterday's Super Torpedo was excellent with extra ham , but today's was half the meat, although I ask for extra meat and willing to pay , it wasn't there . But overall I still believe in Filippis Pizza Grotto in Imperial Beach Southern California .
