• 8/23/22Sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly. Loved the burger but next time I'll ask for extra jalapeños because it wasn't spicy at all for my tastes. I'm not vegan or vegetarian and would have to say that an avid meat lover would love the texture and flavor of this burger. Great to have tasty, low calorie, healthy lunch options in McAllen. I'm considering trying their meal prep for a couple of weeks to jump start my healthy eating and weight loss goals.

• 10/6/25ive been a vegan for 10 years and have dabbled in a lot of vegan cuisine. First, i love the nutritious benefits in these meals! I ordered because i was feeling sick and knew i needed some nutrients that are gonna benefit me and these dishes are pretty whole plant based.
Sadly, the taste wasn't there for me. The spaghetti and meatballs: The sauce was VERY GOOD i finished it all its so creamy and deliciouss! the brocoli lacked flavor and shouldve probably been simmered in the sauce. The meatballs were sadly very very unedible. They had no meaty taste (you can get a meaty taste with lentils garlic salt and some seasoning) and were somewhat sweet? I only could eat half of one. Next, the mac and cheese. Ive had it before and it was delicious but this time around it was somewhat green and didnt smell the best
:( The soup i ordered had a very spicy kimchi/curry flavor to it i didnt expect but since im having a gastritis flare up i didnt want to risk it. Im a bit dissapointed since i thought it was a simple lentil veggie soup. Overall, the sauce in the Spaghetti & Meatless Balls was delicious and the meals have so many incredible nutritious benefits but i do think the flavors in these dishes need to improve so maybe in the future i could enjoy them to the fullest. And I think for the price i wasnt very satisfied.

• 6/26/25I ordered the Spicy Black Bean Burger and Mac & Cheese.
The Mac & Cheese was great! Very smooth and creamy sauce and not too salty! The pasta was cooked al dente.
The Spicy Black Bean Burger was also delicious. The sauce was pleasantly spicy without overpowering other flavors. The bun to patty ratio, though, was elevated. I would've added extra slices of tomatoe and pickle to complement the patty and add a little juiciness to the dish. The red onions also added a great bite to the burger; I think they were lightly grilled. The patty didn't hold well and fell apart, but, I wasn't bothered by it.
My order arrived still hot and everything tasted fresh. I would highly recommend this to a friend and will be coming back for more! I've tried the Mediterranean bowl and Açai bowl in the past and would recommend these too!

• 9/22/25I love that the products didn't come already mixed in, so you don't get any soggy nachos when you order these. The taste is beyond amazing, I honestly wanted to cry over how wonderful they tasted.

• 9/12/24The one downside about food from vegan restaurants is that sometimes it can taste under-seasoned and kinda bland. That definitely wasn't the case with FoodAMed. The dishes we tried were flavorful and tasty! good portions on the Foodamed Nachos too
