• 3/19/26I will order door dash from the freedom cafe again the Breakfast Taco (with Bacon) is my favorite and the first time I ordered a homemade waffle with powder sugar with fresh cut up blueberry's and strawberry's on top and the portions are great my favorite place to have breakfast in town now :)

• 3/12/26The food is actually phenomenal and the The Big Hug Biscuits & Gravy really IS a big hug. Ive ordered it twice now and havent been disappointed at all. It was fresh and they even accommodated with over easy eggs instead of scrambled :) Im literally in love. The Corned Beef Hash was equally delicious but I ate it before I took a pic. :)

Now before you go on the classic Greenfield resident tirade based upon what I experience, I have tried their food before in the past and didn’t really enjoy it. But I always try to give places another try assuming maybe it was what I ordered. Unfortunately this time it was the same experience.
Had the breakfast scramble, noticed this weird taste to the food, especially the eggs, from the flat top, tastes as though a cooking spray is used giving the food an abnormal taste as though the cooking spray was not fully cleaned off the grill making it over heated and sticking to the food. The potatoes were way past cooked, dark, hard to chew and tasted burnt sadly. I also noticed I kept having bits of egg shell throughout eating which was annoying. But I guess it shows they use fresh eggs.
Pancakes, again these had the same weird burnt cooking spray taste secondary to a very abnormal flavor for pancakes that only way I can describe as a very perfume sharp taste. They are very fluffy which is nice but again, they tasted as though it had an oil flavoring added to the mix for some reason.
Biscuits and gravy, biscuits had a very odd taste and no real flavor to them, and same with the food. Similar to the taste of the burnt cooking spray was noted to the sausage which was the only real item that I kind of enjoyed, though the actual roux was very bland lacking the flavor of a decent sausage gravy would normally have being a classic type breakfast. I noticed there was absolutely no pepper mixed it, or salt. But the pepper is kind of a big thing for a good gravy.
I’m not sure why so many people say the food is delicious, this will be my third attempt at trying their food and each time it’s that heavy cooking spray oil or something that’s used for a majority of these items. On top of general lack of flavor/bland, the food is cooked with some type of spray vs most diners use butter/margarine I have noticed. That cooking spray residue is also all over my take out containers, it’s super dark/brown colored and I can see they use a large amount and at such a high heat to make it that darkened.
Otherwise, the hash is good this last time. That’s about it.

• 3/25/26Got the Breakfast Sandwich with steak and bacon. Really good. A bit greasy but that's what you want when you're going HAM on a big ol breakfast bagel. Really nice napkin included with utensils, wish I had some ketchup with it though, maybe I missed the option to add. Anyways, highly recommend. Huge sandwich.
