Wow... ordered a variety & got the pleasure of having the best bite of pastry of my life (Kouign Amann), followed immediately by the best bite of pastry of all my past & future lives as well (Apple Turnover), and then the best baguette (Baguette Parisian). I've never had a baguette with a crust that perfect and fresh before. Everything had such a fresh glass-crackle crust, including the Chocolate Croissant. The pastry work and lamination is just unreal. And the Bread of the Month (red bell pepper & rosemary for April) is spectacular too; my mom & I both instantly agreed we'll be trying every bread of the month from now on.
Only miss for me is the Double Chocolate Muffin; no chips, not super chocolatey, and doesn't taste like it was made freshly today, but that's understandable with a muffin. Muffins don't seem to be the point of this place anyway, and that's okay. Order from them what they clearly do best in town-- pastries and bread.
Very cool place to have so close to home, you can absolutely taste the passion & expertise in these recipes. Huge compliments & thanks to the bakers, I'm looking forward to becoming a regular!
