Fronteras is one of the best Mexican food spots in Palatine. The owner runs a clean shop with fresh ingredients and fire grilled meats for every order. I would compare Fronteras to a fresher, more authentic version of Chipotle. When you order in the store, you choose your ingredients and protein before they turn around and grill the meat fresh on the spot, most of the time I've been there anyway.
We moved to Palatine in April 2025 and have been happily returning here at least on a monthly basis. I prefer the arrachera burrito with habanero salsa and red salsa. Each burrito is large and the quesadillas also are very filling. The bowls at Fronteras are comparable to the size you get at Chipotle.

No way this is the best when el Torino is available. If Rosita moved from Foodhub to DoorDash you would be out of business. Who's saying is this that good
