I used to work 3 build away on Broadway St. I ate at Fujiya at least once per week. I loved the food then and still love it. Good portions, excellent quality and very authentic. Along with the sushi, I recommend the beef teriyaki as it is made with steak! All around great restaurant.

My favorite Japanese in Tacoma. Always quality, and each classic tastes like being back. The j roll was their best kept secret for years and as much as I love tradition, I can never stay away. Love these guys. Going in for a sit down experience is even better. (Also wish you guys would put miso back on your online menu, but will never ding you for it!)

Unfortunately, I haven't ordered from Fuji in a very long time and it used to be just so good today. I feel like nothing was consistent at all. My California roll was a bit bland and it was a little bit dry. The ginger even had some dried edges I had also tempura and the vegetables they were weird. It was like they were old or frozen or I'm not even sure what went wrong or they were sitting out from a previous order who knows it was just very odd. I immediately threw it away. I didn't take any photos of it and I guess I could've refunded.

It was the worst meal ever - burnt Chicken Teriyaki (2 orders), taste was awful, oil from Vegetable Tempura brown, and the Tempura order did not come at all - there was no salad dressing on any of the salads...overall horrific birthday dinner for my spouse. What a let down. Have been coming to Fujiya for over 20 years and the quality had been waning but this was ridiculous. $117 in the trash. ugh

They are my favorite Japanese and Sushi restaurant; always great quality fish along with entrees. Glad to see them on here for when we don't have time to sit and eat.
