I've ordered from Gen over 10 times since they opened, and their food and sides are great. But I need to talk about some changes. First, they got rid of the spicy ramen that came with the plate, which I loved. The pineapple and special sauce over rice are gone too. Second, today was a letdown. The plate size is much smaller now, and there's barely enough meat for the price. Can it go back to how it was?

The beef short ribs tasted like leather boot straps wrapped in fat. There were only three thin pieces in the Option C. That was the only item I was looking forward to. The Hawaiian Bacon was under cooked chewy and grisly. The Honey Chicken was decent but after choking down the first two and having to spit most of it out I wasn't really hungry anymore.
I was very disappointed as I was looking forward to a delightful and delicious meal.

The food here is really good, second time ordering this week. The only problem I have is they line the bottom of the dish with lettuce. Also the premium steak is bland and not worth the money, but everything else I highly recommend, especially the short ribs!

The irony in this reviews is that I can NEVER seem to remember to take a photo before I dig in. From the presentation/packaging to the amazing party on my palate from the incredible flavors, Gen never misses the mark! 10/10

Premium packaging. I wasnt impressed with the fried ramen not because it tasted bad but because it was just plain cooked noodles with no type of sauce on it or crispiness to them. I'll just pick something else next time. Kalbi was good. I would take cheaper packaging for thicker cuts though. Worth a try!
