Gary Kugel and his army buddy Warren opened the Gondolier in 1960. Warren's Italian "Auntie Lou" provided the restaurant's fresh pasta, lasagna, and minestrone recipes, and the two opened at 1600 Broa…
I ordered two orders of SPAGHETTI but the portions were huge and I definitely could have shared just one order. I loved the red sauce with a little kick to it and the meatballs were great. The Cannoli was fresh and amazing and now I'm thinking about it again. So good!

The salad was okay. The HOMEMADE SPAGHETTI looked nothing like the picture. Noodles, sauce and meat were in different containers. Understandable for the meat. The sauce was such a small portion, for the amount of noodles, and unseasoned. I had to add sauce from a jar to make enough sauce for noodles. Adding the jarred sauce improved the taste. Spaghetti noodles were limp, overdone and tasteless. Tasted as if no salt was added to the cooking water. Huge disappointment for me. I used to be a fan.

The cannolis were amazing. I think we were moaning as we were eating them. Thank you so much for being an amazing Italian restaurant. We don't expect anything less than the best from you guys and that's what you gave us. Thanks again.

Sausage has a weird grainy consistency. SPAGHETTI CARBONARA is probably the worst I've ever had. GARLIC KNOTS were hard and flavorless. SPICY FRIED CALIMARI was salty and not at all spicy. For $70 definitely not worth it.

I was very disappointed in my GLUTEN FREE PASTA with Alfredo. The sauce was only poured over the dry sliced chicken. The rest of the pasta was totally dry. Unacceptable for $23 pasta. I had to throw half of it away.
