The Italian Beef is honestly in the tip 5 in the Chicagoland area. And Grando's don't even realize it. Home made Gravy ( au jus) for their perfectly seasoned Beef. The price is also very fair in today's restaurant scene. Top 5 Italian Beefs.

Patty Melt was delicious and perfectly cooked. The bread is light rye bread, not marble like some places. Love that they wrapped it correctly too with so that the paper absorbed the excess oil and kept the sandwich crispy while the outter foil wrap kept it hot. Lots of places do it wrong and wrap it with just the foil against the sandwich. That drives me nuts because it makes the sandwich all soggy and gross. The Fries were crispy with just the right amount of salt too. The Gyro Plate was good. There was a lot of gyro meat and it was delicious and seasoned very well. Everything was wrapped separately too which I really appreciated. The pita and gyro where together wrapped in foil. The sauce came in two cups on the side. The tomato and onion were also on the side. I will definitely order from here again, very pleased with the food and the packaging.

The Philly Melt really surprised me, but mainly because I thought I ordered a Patty Melt. It was really good though and I'm glad I messed up. The Philly Melt has lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, and cheese on it; it was delicious. The Polish was dressed like a hot dog: onion, relish, pickle, celery seasoning, mustard, sports peppers. I was going to take a picture of it, but I was surprised by all the toppings and forgotten. The menu didn't say what came on it, and silly me, I just assumed it would have grilled onion and mustard. I hate sport peppers and had already picked the offending little buggers off and wiped down the pickle by the time I realized it, and then it was too late to take a pic. I plan to try it tomorrow, so I hope it's good.
