This spot has been here since 1968. Incredible old fashioned burger . Favorite spot in Los Angeles to pop in for a quick bite. The staff is 12/10, shout out to the manger or owner that's at cash register you the goat my man. The aesthetic is 50's diner. Just feels great to eat a burger here can't explain it man . Love these guys

I used to go to this pad since the 80s. and in the last 12 months it has become absolutely unacceptable.
15 bucks for a steak sandwich with cheese. 1.80 for 1 slice of cheddar? and 13 bucks for a steak sandwich that you can barely find the steak in?
what happened? I get inflation. that's why I chose to pay 64 dollars for 3 sandwiches and 2 shakes. but if you're going to charge twice as much as you did 2 years ago, at least keep the portions the same. Dont double the price and then cut the meat in half. just look at the pictures. the meat is lost under the tomato. and in the other side the meat can barely be found. the sandwich bread is like 6 to 8 inches long. and the meat is 2, maybe 3 inches at most.
I'm saddened to say that this Landmark of a restaurant has now become a thing of distant memories. this wonderful 50s style diner has decided to go the direction of greed and decided to leave "quality" way way behind.
at least they shakes are still amzing. but it will set you back 10 dollars. for a MILK SHAKE!!!
