The best Chinese restaurant I had in Chicago so far, most authentic clay pot rice and definitely something you cannot find elsewhere, this Sweet & Spicy Eggplant-风味茄子 is just so delicious and it came with a free rice. I normally don't leave out reviews but this restaurant deserves a five star.

This is a small restaurant that offers great food, they have food from all across China including Cantonese Clay pot rice and Northern Chinese dishes like Sweet and spicy eggplants. I was surprised when I first ordered here and gradually I became a regular for dine in. The owner is very friendly and she tried her best in delivering the most authentic Chinese food to Chicago Chinatown. This place needs more attention for real. People deserve to know this place.

A small restaurant but will suprise you for sure! They had the best Eggplant ever, fresh ingredients and great tastes, I would definitely recommend trying the dry fried cabbage!

I satisfied with what I ordered but was dismayed to see burnt rice placed on top of my main dish. Please be more careful and don't add burnt rice to customers orders. I felt like the main dish I ordered should've came with more greens instead of the three individual pieces I got. The plum drink was satisfying and fried pudding spring rolls were perfect. Not too sweet. Just right. I will order again from Happy Rice but for a restaurant with the name rice in it, I wasn't happy with the rice.

The fish portion is too little, and the eggplants are not crispy as they should've been.... but understandable due to long distance
