on the Batter Dipped Cod Platter for the majority it was very good. a little on the small portion size for my taste. the fries is a personal opinion but I prefer my fries not batter dipped otherwise they were good not overly salty like a lot of places. the Hush Puppies (6) I really loved just wish they were larger so I could have enjoyed the taste longer, to me they are the best around.

The Red Potato Salad is flavorful, well-balanced, & the potatoes were tender. Definitely a shareable portion.
The Blue Cheese Brisket Salad a generous portion of smoky brisket, fresh greens & super crisp veggies. There was just the right amount of Blue cheese, so I'm glad I subbed balsamic vinaigrette instead of more BC dressing. The vinaigrette was piquant and thick-bodied. It tasted fresh/house made. This salad is probably 2 more meals for me.
I had high hopes for Hogfish and it absolutely swam to the top!!

The Batter Dipped Combo was excellent. The shrimp were plump and perfectly cooked as was the fish.
However the Crab Cakes were so over seasoned there was very little crab flavor- disappointed. I wanted to taste crab.

I've had shrimp in various ways from Hogfish and they have always been good. Plump and well prepared- thumbs up. Today I had Ribs & Shrimp Platter. The shrimp were terrific but alas the ribs were not. Yes, the meat fell off the bone however it fell like sand. Dry dry dry. The sauce was fine but could do nothing for the strange meat. I'll order shrimp again but please stay away from the ribs.
