Man I tell you... Southbridge is really becoming a Mecca of food choices, and the quality is getting crazy. Today I was in the mood to try something different, so Honest Town Eats got the nod. The price is a little higher than most but it makes up for it with quality, flavor, and a good portion. I tried the Triple Garlic Noodles and the Pork Belly Reuben with truffle fries. Let... me... tell... you!! If you love garlic, the noodles will not disappoint!! Intense garlic flavor and a little heat along with subtle textures. It was amazing!! I added a fried egg on top and ate with chopsticks for full effect. Will definitely have again. The pork belly Reuben was flavorful and tender with the right amount of acidity from the pickled red cabbage. Delicious... and paired with the truffle fries... also with a touch of garlic and nice and crispy... a great combo. So don't sleep on this place. Treat yourself and try HTE!!

First.. let me say the portion sizing is far better than most restaurants however the food was NOT very good. Beef Empanada (2) were very dry. I didn't taste any cheese and the sauce was so weird. The Mac and The Chopped Cheese Sando was extra soggy and had no flavor. They could have wrapped it up in tinfoil to help. Fries were delicious I'll give them that. We also got the Honest Town Mac with braised beef ( I forget the exact name of this one but it was rubbery and had no flavor) I was looking forward to trying here but man, disappointed. $80 for stuff I took two bites out of. May be better for dine in- but the lack of flavor for me was a no go. 2/10

For starters, as soon as I picked up my bags, all I could smell is fish. I've had calamari before and it should not smell that strong. Once I bit into them however, there was 0 taste and the breading was soft. The sauce was really good though. As for the Ramen, the meat was good. It had decent flavor and did break apart but the broth tasted like miso soup. It wasn't terrible, I'm glad I was home though to have a bowl because there was no way I was pouring broth into a platter like that. Nor was the bowl big enough to put stuff into the container of the broth. A bit disappointed only because I've really been wanting to try this place out.

To be honest I had low expectations thinking this was a typical town takeout spot, I was so wrong! This food is beyond delicious! The HTE Steak & Potato meal was an ACTUAL steak! Everything was so fresh and so well made I am definitely recommending and ordering here again!
