I absolutely LOVE HKAK, its my go-to restaurant for Chinese takeout but unfortunately we had to cut way back because their prices have gone up significantly more than other restaurants. I went to do a reorder of a takeout I did in early February where the total came out to $60. The reorder came out to $86. I understand that prices go up, but this has way out-paced the usual. Now this is a special occassion treat as opposed to a regular dining experience

OK, so this was my first order from this place. I've had Chinese Crispy Pork from several restaurants around the Orlando area. This restaurant's version was on point when it came to seasoning/spices. Unfortunately, it was sitting in so much grease that it took a lot of work to make it edible. That entailed having to use almost a whole roll of paper towel to squeeze as much of the grease out as possible, followed by using my Instant Pot's Tender Crisp function to render it even more before it was gastronomically palatable. By the time I was done, I'd lost my appetite for it. My friends ate some, however they commented that although it tasted good it was "a bit too greasy."
Hot and Sour Soup: The Hot and Sour Soup was ok. The ingredients were there, however, the flavor was bland and disappointing. It lacked the heat and spice that is indicative of the traditional dish. The broth seemed watered down. I added my own spices to elevate the flavor & it was pretty good. I would recommend it.

Ordered the Beef Chow Fun / Fideos Grueso con Carne and the Chicken Wing (6 PCS) / Alitas Frita. The chow fun was super flavorful and noodles were chewy! The wings were not my personal favorite but they were not super bad. Would def order here again.
