Hot Bagel Deli #1 is one of the few actual breakfast places in the west Valley. It's by the sweetest and nicest people, has great NYC-tasting bagels, bialys, burritos and breakfast platters. Lunchtime sandwiches are pretty fantastic also.
If you don't like this place, you deserve McDonald's.

The meat egg and cheese bagel was lacking as far as fillings. Very little egg, very thin, and had to look for it.
Breakfast burrito was ok - pretty typical BEC. I asked for habanero avocado salsa if they had it and was surprised by a mysterious and undocumented additional $2.86 charge that DD couldn't help me identify. When I bit into the burrito, it had avocado slices in it that I didn't order and didn't want. At least I found out what the mysterious, unitemized charge was. The charge itself never showed on the receipt from the restaurant.
Haven't tried other items.

I went back and forth on how to rate this restaurant and settled at a four which according to the site is still very good. I ordered two items, the Chorizo Burrito with added potatoes and the Big Breakfast Burrito with bacon and added sausage. The food arrived hot and fresh but the burritos were very different in size, as you'll see in the picture. One, was quite small, and had bacon, eggs, and cheese but no sausage. The other was more than double the size and had sausage, eggs, cheese, and potatoes. There was no chorizo at all so both burritos were wrong. The thing is, even though they were wrong both burritos were outstanding. The bacon one had nicely melted cheese and well seasoned eggs with a good amount of bacon and overall had an almost creamy texture to it which shows they use good ingredients. The sausage and potatoes one was large and had big chunks of sausage and wonderfully seasoned potatoes that were soft, almost mashed but with some texture. Overall it was wrong but great

I love the bagels from Hot Bagels &Deli. They are absolutely amazing, fluffy inside not heavy like other bagels. My preference to eat bagels is when they are still warm. I put mind in the Hot Air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 300F. They turned out just like I baked them fresh straight off my oven. This way they tastes crunchy and chewy.

The Breakfast Platter #1 was tasty, but I'm not sure I'd get it again. My eggs weren't made as requested, the bread wasn't toasted, and the home fries portion dominated everyhing else. However, I'd definitely order another Bagel with Plain Cream Cheese or would explore other bagel options. The bagel itself was incredibly soft and fresh, and it had just the right amount of chew. I appreciate the generous cream cheese serving as well, especially since it was so light and fluffy.
