ordered the General Tso's Chicken and Crab Rangoon  for our son and he said it was the best in the Burg. I was afforded a taste of each and I'll have to say it was pretty darn good. can't wait to dine in sometime soon.

I've wanted to like them since they bought out Fortune Gourmet years ago, so I order sporadically 
Alas,  Spring Roll（2） was mushy, not crisp, and the filling had little flavor. The Pork Fried Dumplings had more flavor, but were very doughy and overwhelmed the filling.
On a better note the Wonton Soup was very good, not just salty, with plenty of fresh green onions and beautifully clear, fresh broth. 
The Vegetable Lo Mein had lovely noodles and a reasonable portion of vegetables - onions, mushrooms, snow peas, and broccoli. The Pad Thai, Pork was tasty with al dente noodles and enough sauce for good flavor without drowning the food. Alas, no peanut topping. The main reason I ordered was the Mandarin Chicken . Thankfully HG abandoned their original recipe for this dish and adopted the FG recipe several years ago. Fiery without sacrificing flavor with fresh red, green, and yellow peppers (not the canned peas and carrots of yore.) Sadly, small portion/price ratio deters a repeat.

The D8. Chicken with Broccoli Dinner Special Combo was good. Small portion for the price in comparison to other chinese places.
The egg drop soup that comes with it is very, very small. Tasty but very small. Shouldnt be that small.

The Spring Roll is okay. Not bad but nothing special.

This was one of the worst dinners I've ever experienced at a Chinese restaurant.  

Eggrolls:
I have no idea how they could call these eggrolls. When I took them out of the wax paper wrapper, my fingers got soaked with oil. They were not completely fried. When I bit into one of them, there was barely any filling.  Most of it was cabbage and maybe some carrots.  I did see a LOT of the rolled wrapper...there was more wrapper than ingredients. Among the worst eggrolls I've ever had.

Hot and Crispy Beef:
VERY oily...strange taste.  This was strips of beef that appeared to be battered and in a brown sauce.  This was NOT hot (spicy), which it what I thought Hunan cuisine was supposed to be.  There was a LOT of oil in the sauce. I had been hoping this dish was like the "dry-fried beef" that I've eaten in Chinatown in NYC and San Francisco...thin strips of beef that are fried (most likely deep fried) with no batter, with thinly sliced celery and carrots. The 'dry-fried' beef doesn't have a sauce, but rather a glaze.  I was disappointed in Hunan Garden's dish.  It was not flavorful at all.

Beef with Orange Flavor:
I think I got gipped on the beef in this dish. There was maybe 8 or 9 slices of battered, deep-fried beef.  I think I saw one little piece of orange peel. This dish seemed to have more oil than sauce. There were some pieces of broccoli that were sitting soaking up the oil. When I was cleaning up later there were clumps of ... well not sure ... perhaps cornstarch at the bottom of the container.

Fried Rice:
This was probably the best tasting of the experience. Lots of pork, bean sprouts, and other fried rice ingredients.  But even this dish suffered from being way too dry. It's like it needed more sauce (NOT oil).  It could have used some more soy sauce.

I doubt I would give this restaurant another chance, unless they compensated the meal and tried to improve what I ate last night!

SOOOO not worth the cost. No way was that half of a duck and the one leg had almost no meat on it.
I would NEVER order Peking Duck from this place again!
