The flavor was fantastic! The portions of fufu and soup were ideal. The eggroll tasted delicious but I was surprised to only get one small eggroll when I paid $2 and some change for eggrollS pleural.

I've ordered from here a few times and really love the food. Plantains are delicious, the spicy sauce with the jollof rice and goat is a favorite, and my husband likes his gyro. It's consistently good, but it'll never be a go-to because it is pretty expensive. I can pay less and get more meat, rice, and sauce from my local Indian place. Will always keep it in mind when I get some kind of DoorDash discount, though!

I had 2 pieces of beef in my egusi soup and that was it. Very disappointing. Only one piece was big, the other was a shred. For that amount of money I am very upset. They didn't label which was spicy or mild so we played Russian roulette.

Absolutely gobsmacked at how delicious this food was. The plantains were cooked to perfections. Their jollof is so good you could eat it by the pound. Their goat and lamb are so tender they melt in your mouth. The homemade hot sauce has a peppery kick that completes the shish kabobs. My friend and I will now be regulars after just one meal.

The food at I Love Fufu is to die for, especially the Egusi soup meal and Lamb Shawarma Meal, served with humus and salad. It really is some of the best food I get here in Iowa City. On top of that, the owners are so, so kind. They're always so generous and appreciative of anyone and everyone who stops by. I recommend everyone I meet to go and enjoy this place. You really won't regret it.
