India A1 Grocery opened in 1985 to provide fresh vegetables and a range of Indian spices to the Arlington, Virginia region. Whole spices are the most popular.
I ordered the Veg Biryani and the Butter Naan and they both were excellent. This is probably the best Indian food in the whole area. I will keep ordering from Minerva often. They always make their food with a lot of love and care and it reflects well with the taste of their food. The food is always delicious every time!

They forgot to add salt to Gobi masala (says someone who avoids sodium as much as possible). The biryani was worse. It was way too spicy (when spice level wasnt an option one would except medium at best) and salty (the irony). Now the worst part - the only 3-4 pieces of meat they put in it was just bones. Never again.

Food is bad! They just cook from packaged items and reheat the frozen food. Only Vada and Sambhar and Samosa are good. Rest everything is bad. Behavior of staff is very good!
