The Malai Kulfi is delicious - mild but definitly  saffron/pistachio flavored so make sure you like that first.  Garlic Naan is the best ive had in awhile and I love the Paneer Butter Masala.  The House Chickpea Salad had lots of fresh veggies and the Vegetable Raita is great, creamy w chunks of cucumber.

The food here is average. Not great, but not that bad either. Aside from the Mushroom Soup, which had a watery consistency and tasted awful.

This was the 2nd time I ordered from Indian Essence. I really wanted to like this restaurant since my wife and I love Indian food. We had been hoping a place would open nearby but this is just not that great.

I recommend Taste of India in Flanders for something nearby. If you don't mind traveling Aman's in Easton, PA and Sankalp in Morris Plains, NJ are our favorite Indian restaurants.

Tried this place for the 3rd time hoping for something good but once again majorly disappointed. Chili Chicken was absolutely terrible, dry and chewy and not much of it either

The food was not what it needed to be. Appreciate the new cuisine in the area so i dont have to drive to flandes or ledgewood but it's just not as good. Wasnt a fan of the veggie samosa or tikka masala. The chicken tandoor weird texture. I would not buy again

Malai kofta was dry and overly chewy. Paneer butter masala had to tomato forward with spice. Won't order from here again.
