The burnt ends are bette than a good ribeye! The cornbread is amazing. The creamed corn dish and the macaroni and cheese makes me believe my great-grandma gave them her recipe. Eating at Iron Star is a real treat. I ate dinner in the restaurant yesterday, and it was so good I ordered it on DoorDash for lunch today!!

I have loved every meal I have eaten from Iron Star. Always hot, fresh and made just right. I love their Mama's Deviled Eggs when I'm feeling homesick. The Chicken Fingers from the kids menu are perfect portion for an adult as well. Sweet Tea is just right!

Combo Plate got ribs and jalapeño cheddar sausage-delicious but the ribs were dry but the sauce made them better. The bbq sauce is perfect acidity for both ribs and chicken. The chicken is good by itself too. The Mac and cheese is good, must have been way fresh because it was a lil watery but still tasted good. The cob salad was delicious, maybe should've added onions and the ranch is very delicious-they most likely make it in house. Burnt End Quesoi did with burnt ends because it's too much meat going on in there. I would've loved some pico de galo or salsa to go with. Overall it's worth it. I've got my meals for a couple days lunch and dinner. Thank you chef!

In a city with a -lot- of BBQ joints, Iron Star sets themselves apart with some very interesting menu items (the bacon wrapped Quail Breast is -amazing-), some standard menu items you'd expect (cornbread is melt-in-your-mouth), and some items that you just won't find anywhere else (the Double Chocolate Bread Pudding is so, so, SO good!) I love this place. Its' pricing is right up there with most of the BBQ places, and if it is just a -touch- more expensive? It's absolutely worth it. There are only two others in the entirety of OKC I rank up here with Iron Star. Try them - you'll be pleased!

The ribs are dry, yams are mushy and the tenders are rubbery. This peach pie was $10 and it's literally just an empanada
