The food was really great and the portion sizes were fantastic 😍. The Curry Goat and Oxtail meals with sides rice and cabbage as sides were amazing. I purchased some Ripe Plantains and Mac n cheese sides that were so good we finished it day one. I can't wait to get myself more Beef Patty + Coco Bread. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will be ordering from this place again

Absolutely caught off guard by how delicious this was... hats off to island soul. This is some real deal Caribbean island food in South Hill, VA. Tons of options to cater to what ever you're feeling like.
I went with the oxtail w Mac n cheese and yams and all were flavorful with generous portions (ordered large option). The oxtail was fall off the bone tender and drenched in gravy, and the candied yams were a sweet addition to the plate. The cannoli cake was super fresh and was very similar to carrot cake, just with a little Caribbean twist.
Overall, this place is a hidden gem and a must try if in the area. Will definitely be returning.

I try to support local businesses. Especially if it looks good. It's good but pricey. A leg a thigh and cabbage. For $23. I get it. Economy is tough right now. So I will probably give it a second chance if I can actually go to the restaurant and sit down and eat. I didn't like the fact that the chicken was sitting in the juices of the cabbage. Which made the underside of the chicken very soggy. But the flavor was good. I will probably eat this little bit of food. And go make me a soup to put on top of it.
