Jeffrey's has been San Mateo's best burger since I moved here - more than 15 years ago. The burger choices are broad enough (with customizations) to suit every taste, the quality of the meat is great, and the prices/portion ratio is good without being too big to eat in one sitting.
I haven't personally tried many of the non-burger options, but family members and friends love the salads and the tuna melt. The only menu item I can't recommend are the fish and chips/shrimp and chips, both of which are really tasty in person but which do not travel at all well.

The double cheeseburger with blue cheese or double cheeseburger burger bowls are our faves from Jeffrey's. They make a lemon vinaigrette which I love on the blue cheese burger. Their ranch dressing goes perfectly with their delicious sweet potato fries . In the past we have also enjoyed the club. This place is THE place we go when we wants burger that we know we will enjoy. Portions are generous. Price may seem a bit high but when you see the size of the portions and taste the delicious food , you'll forget about that and go to burger heaven. We often call to add a special order (lemon vinaigrette in lieu of 1 or more of the extra ranch dressing sides we order. No option for ordering lemon vinaigrette sides exists so that's our work around . We also enjoy the grilled cheese sandwich. Perfect. The store is ALWAYS pleasant and helpful. We won't gatekeep our secret burger paradise. Jeffrey's deserves their success and reputation as the Bay Area's best burger place. You can't go wrong with Jeffrey's. Not one bad order ever. Try it. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Excellent Bacon Cheeseburger cooked perfectly and had that charbroiled taste. Generous portions of bacon and the burger is delicious

The cheeseburge was very tasty .The only negative comment I have is that it's too big to eat without being cut in half and because of that it is a mess to eat and the bottom of the bun was incredibly soggy and inedible. The onion rings were nice & crispy and I would definity recommend them.

Very good at following special requests. Cheeseburger had extra cheese and cooked exactly as I had requested. Fries were hot & crispy on outside and soft inside. My favorite local burger place!
