• 8/9/26Karl's Catfish Plate was tender and flavorful. The serving of catfish was abundant with several smaller filets more than making up for a lack of full-size filets. There was enough to feed me and share with 6 spoiled felines who contend that catfish means "fish for cats". Collards were fresh and tasty and macaroni and cheese was good, though not the best.

• 8/24/26The pork sandwich was the very best and the fresh fruit is so good. The wings are the best you could have and their deviled eggs remind me of my mom's. But that lemon ice box pie is the best I have ever had. I also love their version of an Arnold Palmer called a Palmer is the best to quench your thirst in this hot Alabama summer!

• 8/23/26Ordered the brisket sandwich, which is listed for $17.99. Got a small, sad sandwich with no sauce. Ordered the pimento cheese burger, asked for no bacon and several condiments added. Came with bacon and no condiments. Highly disappointed and feeling like I was swindled out of money.

• 5/26/25Macaroni & Cheese was just ok but skimpy for the cost. The 3 meats didn't have much meat. All were juicy but the brisket and turkey lacked a smoke ring and much flavor. The pulled chicken was good. The sauces werent even worth eating and the coleslaw just wasn't good at all. The cornbread was pretty decent.
