Based on all the positive reviews I've seen, and keep seeing, for Journey's Chicken & Fish, I decided to check it out, last night!
I ordered theChoose 2 meal.
You can choose from:
2 pc Catfish Fillets,
2 pc Cod, 2 pc Tilapia,
3 pc Catfish Steak, 3 pc Perch,
3 pc Jack Whiting, 3 pc Oysters,
3 pc Tenders, 3 wings,
4 pc jumbo shrimp,
8 pc catfish nuggets,
10 pc medium shrimp,
chicken gizzards, chicken livers
I chose the catfish fillets and the chicken tenders, as I heard these are the best things that Journeys has on their menu.
Although I am not much of a fish person, I thought I would try it out.
Also, along with my chicken and fish, I got complimentary fries and, I am So Glad bcuz I have been told, they are amazing!
And, they Were amazing! I loved the seasoning on them!
The Chicken strips were coated in a light crispy / crunchy coating that wasn't too crispy or crunchy and I liked that.
Chicken itself was juicy and tender, all white meat chicken.
I thought they were very good.
As far as the catfish fillets go... OMG
I have to say these catfish fillets were the absolute best catfish fillets I've ever had... in my entire life!
Breading was absolutely perfect and seasoning was delicious, as was the fish, itself!
I was very impressed with the fish and the fries.
Other than chicken tenders and catfish, they also have shrimp dinners, whole fried chicken dinners, party wings and a Whole Wings Family Package where you can get 30 to 100 wings!
Plus, sandwiches, desserts and daily lunch specials (including french fries and a drink), Chicken Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches, Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches, Crispy Philly Wrap and a Crispy Chicken Philly Wrap and, they also have Gyros and spicy Gyros and Italian Beef sandwiches and Falafel Wraps and Pizza Puffs and something called a "gym shoe". 🤷♂️
So, if you are looking for a different place to try out, try out Journey's for absolutely excellent catfish and some pretty perfect French fries!
