So fresh! I think the Big Fish is my go-to now! Italian creamy and has that pop from the masago!
The Colt is sooo refreshing! I love the silkiness of the cream cheese!

Better than any sushi we've had. No where in California can compete with Kawa. They should get recognition for how consistently good and fresh their food is. Not unusual for them to throw in complementary appetizers every now and then. Can't recommend them enough. Just a great establishment.

Some of the best sushi I've ever had. Always consistent, for years now. Excellent quality fish, always fresh and great portions. We order almost weekly at least. Frequently surprised with an extra miso soup. Probably the best overall sushi restaurant we've ever had. Can't recommend them enough. Highly recommend any roll with spicy tuna.

Omg I didn't take a picture because I literally destroyed it after the first bite . The portion size was more than enough! I thought it would be somewhat small for the price but I was wrong ! It was still warm I got two warm rolls ! The yum yum sauce was a big portion ! This is my new favorite place and I will be ordering again.

Kawa Sushi over the last two or three orders has not been the best. I generally give a restaurant a second try, as everyone has a bad day. But the last few times, the food is not good and overpriced for what you are getting. The Volcano Appetizer was awful this time. It had little spice heat to it, and the tuna was extremely fishy. It smelled off after trying a small bite, decided that I should not eat and tossed it. In past this was one of my favorites. The Spicy Crab Roll was lacking spice with a large portion of rice. I had two of the 6. The Shrimp Tempura appetizer (2) was good but heavily breaded. It needed more of the dipping sauce (the container was only filled 1/3rd) and the Rock N Shrimp was ok. There were no leftovers, as I tossed everything. Over the last couple of years, this was one my favorite places for Japanese. It no longer feeds that need. The food is so-so, the menu hasn't changed in years, and it's pretty pricey when there are other alternatives locally that can satisfy my favorites. Maybe I will try it again, but for now I don't think so.
