I’m a born-and-raised Texan, so I have pretty high standards when it comes to barbecue. The brisket was just okay neither smoked enough nor particularly tender and it’s served chopped instead of sliced, which felt a bit unusual. The mac and cheese was dry and lacking seasoning; even a little extra seasoning and some shredded cheddar would really improve it. The cornbread could also benefit from a simple touch like butter on top to enhance the flavor. I was also supposed to receive fried green tomatoes and a side of ranch with my order, but they were missing.
