After arriving in America, Konstantine transformed a little Greek store in downtown Washington, D.C., which he opened in 1963, into a thriving restaurant that lasted over 30 years. The restaurant was …
Consistently delicious food. Ordered here many times but came to post tonight because the food was just phenomenal! The Greek Isles was one of the best entrees I've had in a very long time.

The Greek Lentil Soup could have used some more lentils but the broth was good and well seasoned. The Falafel Appetizer was really good. It's hard to describe but you'll know when you taste it. I ordered the gluten-free Souvlaki Plate, which was a mistake. It was a lot of soggy fries (which I do not like) and a few cubes of meat.

The Yero was $26.50 and fries were not edible. The spankop waa good and so was soup Avgolemono Soup but galaktoboureko was soggy. My bill was $124 and it was not worth it.

Roasted potatoes were way too sour (too much lemon) , the meatballs had a weird taste (the meat wasnt properly seasoned). The fasolia had no seasoning or any salt and the tomato sauce was too much and too bland. The rice tasted like something out of a box. As a Greek who lived in Greece for 20+ years, this was all a very poor representation of Greek food. Never ordering again. This is not authentic.
