La Esquina has some of the Best California burritos, rolled tacos, and homemade hot sauces around! It's a hidden gem, and definitely worth driving past 135 other taco shops to get the best Mexican food in San Diego county! ;)

I ordered the 39. Chips & Salsa, side of Side of Guacamole and 58. TJ Style Mini Tacos (4). Mini TJ tacos were standard. Nothing to write home about. Not bad. Not great. They were good though. The pictures on DD of the housemade guacamole were very misleading. Looks nothing like the photo, its blended mush but still a great flavor profile. I'm not a big guacamole person but would recommend if you are, if it LOOKED like photo with chunks and not blended I would have loved it, as thats my personal favorite style. Where I was blown away was their Salsa. I eat MXN food 3 x a week, every week, sit down and on DD. I thought I've basically tried everyones salsas at this point but first time ever ordering here. La Esquinas salsa is a flippin 15/10. Best I've had in years and theres some really good ones but I could have eaten a pound of chips just for the salsa itself. Chips were normal but that salsa? Ooooo boy that was phenomenal! Would def try this place again.

I think La Esquina has gotten really good. The more popular taco shops in the area have gotten worse and La Esquina has become really good. El Puerto is still the best but your stomach pays for it. Try the 4 Adobada mini tacos........so good

The images kept up with the real thing I'm very satisfied and there wasn't too much fries or too less of the meat so I'm full and grateful
