I've lived in Athens a decade and this relatively new spot is my fav for Mexican now. Since I tried the Veracruz Steak dish I dont bother with anything else--it is just phenomenal. The steak, the shrimp, whatever SAUCE they put on blended with the rice. It's addictive and they always do it right. ALSO they seriously have the best tortilla chips--freshest every time. I also like how you can get tiny jalapenos in the Cheese Dip. I live relatively close so my food always arrived in good condition.

My order was for the combo dinner #23: soft shell beef taco, beef burrito, rice, and beans. The burrito, rice, beans were delicious and very flavorful.
I have no idea how the soft taco was because it was in a separate container and left out of my order! They also left out plastic utensils and napkins. That was probably in the bag with my taco!
If you're getting DoorDash, check your order COMPLETELY before your delivery person leaves. This is the 2nd time in a row that I've ordered DoorDash and part of my order was missing!

Usually really enjoy La Parilla but today the food was not good. The cheese dip was chunky and cold, the chips were stale, and overall lacking its usual flavor.

Really small portions for price and rude waitstaff that forgot about me after I came in for pickup and had to remind staff to give me change for a side I ordered when I got there.

I really appreciate how the restaurant packaged the Grilled Nachos for a to go/delivery order. A complimentary salsa and small chips were included. Thank you!!
