Food decent , better than other places around here , only 2 places that I've found that sell " more authentic Mexican food" La preferida and the Black food truck called the Morenita across the street from them, La morenita food truck ( black) has homemade tortillas which I do prefer. La preferida has gotten better over the years all depends who is cooking the food because sometimes their food doesn't have that " homemade Mexican flavor" . Their tamales need some work, they put WAY to much masa (dough ) in there tamales, They need some tweaking, less masa and more flavor in their masa . Like I said , most of their food needs tweaking but then again if you don't have true Mexican people cooking or someone who is familiar with true Mexican Cuisine and or flavors ,you will not get that authentic flavor of Mexican Cuisine,.Otherwise I still go there because it's still better than other restaurants around here.
