I travel a lot and have experienced food from all kinds of places—high-end restaurants to hidden gems—but Lalito’s Taqueria completely blew me away. The Tostitos con Esquite and Birria Ramen were on another level—bold flavors, perfect execution, and way beyond expectations.
I’ll be honest—I didn’t even realize this was a food truck until my Dasher messaged me to let me know she was there and was waiting as there was only one person at the truck (I ordered super late-but it wasn't long). As a CEO, I respect the hustle and know great food when I taste it. This isn’t just “good for a food truck”—this is phenomenal food, period. If you’re in the area, don’t hesitate—just order.

Out of everything I got, the birria tacos were the only thing that was tasty. Esquite / Corn in a Cup was SUCH a waste of money, super watery, & bland. Taco de pastor, was not filled good & not GOOD pastor (iykyk). The rice and beans NOT tasty AT ALL (unfortunately bc I LOVE rice) and the Horchata con Fresa / Rice Drink with Strawberry yea PLSSSS don't waste your money on that. I've tried 5 different pastor here in Eugene & only one restaurant has been worth it. Unfortunately, this was a MISS for me & not worth another visit.

I judge Mexican restaurants by how good their arroz rojo is, and Lalito's just jumped to my number one spot. The chorizo was perfectly seasoned the birria was delicious! The entire meal took me back to my childhood spent in Mexico. The tortillas are HAND MADE and you can tell! Will be my new go to! XoXo

Bad news, other Eugene Mexican restaurants, I think our loyalties have just shifted to Lalitos. The tortillas are *out of this world*, the tacos cooked to perfection. For the price of the burrito, I figured it'd be a small side. It's *massive* 10/10 will be ordering from here in the future (banana for scale in picture 3)

The " Churros Rellenos / Stuffed Churros" Was one churro, not even cut down the middle, and the description said it'd be stuffed with cream or chocolate, it was stuffed with strawberry. The rest of the food was good, it was wrapped up in wax wrap though, didn't feel as food-safe as the alluminum they provided for the churro.
