This restaurant serves truly authentic Thai food that isn't overly salty or sweet. The staff are all lovely and provide excellent service. The food is packed securely in boxes and bags.

I love Thai food and have tried nearly every Thai restaurant in HB. Lawa stands out because their cooking is *homemade* and full of flavor, not bland or watered down flavor wise.
Yellow Curry was interesting. I've never had bell peppers in my Thai yellow curry before, but it was a pleasant surprise since I love veggies. The only not great was the chicken meat. It didn't taste like real chicken or high quality so I'll be skipping chicken as my protein next time. Roti was 👍
Also ordered the Pad See Ew with tofu. I liked that they used Chinese broccoli (and not cheap regular broccoli) and it, along with the carrots, appeared to be grilled prior to cooking with the noodle, which added more flavor. The tofu was actually the best part because it wasn't pre-made fried tofu. See my pics. I enjoyed it and I'm not a big tofu fanatic.
Overall, pad see ew was good enough and different than how the other local Thai restaurants make it so I'll likely be trying other dishes from Lawa Thai soon.

Pad Thai  ordered the vegetables in the past have been amazing great beautiful chunks and the flavor is just amazing. But this time not so much kind of fishy taste. Lotta egg tofu when I just want vegetables. I feel like it was just thrown together not made with care

I usually love this place. I got the broccoli with oystersauce. I've had several times in the past and it's usually very good. This time it only came with broccoli (supposed togave carrots and onions as well) and very minimal chicken. I also got the potstickers, which were also not as good as they usually are. I probably wont order from here again with Door Dash. Lots of itje Thai places around where you'll get more bang for your buck (and probably cheaper).

Definitely not a good showing on my order tonight. Usually amazing but not so much tonight. Pad Thai was dry and lacking peanut sauce. Crab rangoons were over cooked. Big bummer.
