Nicolas Paré first founded Le Fournil in Seattle's Eastlake district in 1997. He began his apprenticeship at the tender age of fourteen, hailing from Nantes. He then worked as a baker in Nantes, Paris…
Outstanding baguette sandwiches!! Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Favorites include the Roast Beef, Turkey & Swiss, Chicken Salad, Ham &Swiss and Tuna . Our friends and family love Le Fournil!

We paid $22 for the 2 sandwiches alone, not including delivery fees or tips. I was pretty disappointed. There was just a very thin line of tuna in the sandwich and hardly any turkey at all. It was just a very bready sandwich, and the baguette was just OK. Nothing like the turkey baguette sandwiches at Columbia City Bakery. Disappointed.

I was so excited to get my order, I am very familiar with French pastries and bakeries, and Le Fournil's pastries are clearly at least a day old when I received my order. They aren't fresh, shortbread (pate brisée) from fruit tartes was soggy and wet, same with pate à chou and pate feuilletée from l'éclaire and the Mille Feuilles, please stop serving customers old pastries you didn't sell days before, it's outrageous at $7 a piece.

Best baguettes and best baguette sandwiches in Seattle! Pastries are fresh and buttery and flakey without crumbling. I can't choose a favorite but I do have the sandwiches at least twice a week!
