Los Compadres was a pleasant surprise! - One of the better "authentic" places in Wichita serving more than street tacos. We ordered dinner for two adults and three children.
We had the following:
Tostada de Camarones - Liked by both adults, and then completely housed by our nine year old. "Next time, this is MINE."
Tacos Americano - we ordered the beef, and the nine year old's friend asked her mom before she left last night if they could eat at Los Compadres this week.
Enchiladas Suizas - Mild flavor, a little sweet for my taste, but the kids LOVED them!
Enchiladas Traditional - These were excellent with chicken and red sauce!
Chile Relleno - Not as crispy as my husband would've liked, but good flavor.
Fajitas Chicken and Shrimp - Well executed, not over or undercooked, great sides, and very fresh!
Chips and Salsa - chips weren't too greasy, and the salsa was excellent!

• 1/30/24I spent about $66 on this order and I ordered 2 kid meals which I only received one. I had to spit it for both kids. There was hardly any cheese on my quesadillas. Rice didn't taste good. I paid $9 for the elote and received a small container. Was not impressed at all. I love supporting small businesses but I'll pay for quality foods. Will likely not order again.

• 3/16/24Pastel De Tres Leches- it was good, wish the serving was bigger for the 10$ I paid
Pastor Tacos El Compadre- the pastor was mostly a mush with chunks of meat. Did not eat it.
Elote- Did not come with chili like it was suppose to and the corn was not roasted barely warm. Also a tiny serving for 9$
Would not eat from here again

• 10/22/25For $16 Pozole Rojo I got more broth than I did hominy and meat. Very disappointed.
The Elote was good but small serving for $8.

• 2/28/26Was disappointed- I usually order from here, always get the same thing. Somehow this time it had absolutely no taste. Just bland like someone forgot to add the spices
