On May 8, 2018, I established 50 West BBQ, a small BBQ shack next to the neighborhood liquor shop.
We couldn't be seen from the road, there were few parking spots, and there was almost no seating, but…
Absolutely amazing bbq sandwiches! We got the pork and the brisket. The sandwiches are really good size for what you're paying. The smoke flavor in both was so good we actually contemplated not even using sauce. The brisket with the OG bbq, topped with their coleslaw(which is also amazing), and dipped in their baked beans is out of this world. And I don't know how they season their green beans but they are amazing as well. I really can't say enough good things about their food.

The food was really good. My wife said that the Carolina BBQ sauce was as good as "Bullock's" in Durham, NC, although a little on the spicy side. (Apparently, Bullocks is world-renowned and a favorite of former President Clinton.) She raved about it. The portions were of a really good size, especially for the cost. The only slight issue was that the HUGE baked potato was slightly underdone. Beans and coleslaw were good. Definitely will be ordering from here again!

Ribs were good. Tender , flavorful meat. The baked beans were tasty n seasoned well. The Mac was dry. Portion size was great for $40

You simply have to experience everything for yourself. The food is excellent, the staff is great, and you get a good value for your buck. I contemplate ordering Lost Mnt BBQ everyday and thats not a joke!
