This place is delicious! The crab Rangoon was gone before I thought to take a pic, and was some of the best ever, as was the pork fried rice. The topper was the amazing sweet and sour sauce that appeared to be house made was out of this world good! I was going to save the egg rolls for tomorrow, but tasted them too just to add the the review. They were an add on to my entree, and quite tasty, and Although it said one on the menu, I got two, and again, that amazing sauce!!

I got the D1. Fried Rice with Egg (added shrimp, which were little tiny shrimp but I liked that because it's easier to eat than cutting up big shrimp) I also got A3. Egg Roll (Pork) (1) which came with sweet and sour sauce (tasted like orange-something, I wasn't a fan) and super spicy, super yummy mustard. Rounded out the meal with 05 水晶韭菜饺 / Green Chive Dumpling which were different than any dumpling I've ever had and really tasty. Everything was hot and fresh.

portion sizes are very large, but price is very expensive. However, some of their more unique dishes that are difficult to find at other Chinese, restaurants such as (M2. Hong Sue Tofu, K12. Mongolian Chicken, and their 04. 爆浆流沙包 /Steamed Creamy Egg Yolk) are so good they are worth the price. I do wish that they would update their menu descriptions a little bit because some of them are not very accurate and or descriptive enough to really explain what the dish is. At any rate, my family, and I and even me before I had my family, and even me when I was a kid, I've always eaten here at the original South Greenwood location, and now this one. Yes this is slightly different than the original lotus garden, and while I miss the original location, and some of the things have changed a little bit the product itself is still very solid. I just think that if you're on the south side, you're not gonna find a better Chinese/Cantonese restaurant.

I ordered several dim sum today and enjoyed them all. I especially enjoyed the steamed spare ribs that were full of flavor and the turnip cakes that had a smooth texture and savory vegetable flavor. The scallion pancakes were pretty good as well- they are pan fried so slightly greasy. I finished with some mango pudding that is a great balance of sweet and tart. 5 stars for sure.

I have to say this was my first visit. There is an old saying, "you are only as good, as your last meal" If this business keeps doing what they served me. This business will always have return customers. I order the hot and sour soup. It was excellent ! I then order the Tony's chicken with3 chili. The dish was loaded with chicken! The taste made my taste buds sing. I asked the business for hot mustard on the side. I thought it was just coming inthe packets , as the soy sauce. I was expecting the usual mild boring hot . I was wrong on that as well!!! The business gave me a plastic cup filled with the hot mustard. I was so happy! I have only to be lucky to get this type. I opened the lid . My nose breath in that great smell that remembered. I knew this is the real Mc Coy ! It wasthe hot mustard that love! If you love hot sauce , get this! If you have a clogged up nose this will fix it !! The mustard has that great hot bite to it! It dose not overpower the dish. You will still be able to enjoy the dish. The bite is where it is at. If you love hot ask nicely and you will get it. My advice on the hot mustard. Do not pour the whole contents on your dish. You will pay for the unwise decision. If you use the sauce in moderation you will be fine. I will make sure to be a repeat customer here. Please give them a look. Its family businesses like this one that put their heart in their dishes. We need more of these type of businesses.
