I have not had Chinese food THIS good in awhile. The Lo Mein was very fresh, the Shrimp Fried Rice was delicious, and the Sesame Chicken was tasty. Everything tasted authentic with the exception of the egg rolls.

Very authentic and very well cooked Taro Duck Casserole; the taro was cooked long enough so that it's soft and a bit melty, the way it's supposed to be! The Taro Duck Casserole went excellent with their equally well cooked White Rice. I've said it before and will say it again, this store is a highly underated local gem in Vienna, and one of the BEST chinese restaurants in DMV. Unlike many other stores, they cook their White Rice perfectly well - moist and soft, not overly moist yet most importantly not dry and hard like many other stores do. White Rice is one of THE most important components when it comes to chinese cooking because the dishes need to go with rice, and if the dishes are cooked well but the rice is not, the meal is spoiled. Not with this store, their rice is perfect, and when you pair that with their delicious dishes and entrees, you can't go wrong!

Elated to find this gem in my neighborhood backyard. True authentic Chinese cooking is far and few between, but Lotus Garden is one of them. The Royal Chicken is a must-try for those who understand what real Chinese food is. If your fav dish is General Tso's Chicken, this store may look the same as other stores. But once you start ordering the real Chinese dishes, the difference starts to show. This store uses yellow-skinned chicken for its Royal Chicken, and it's the real deal just like what you'd get in Asia. The Steamed Cod Fish is actually steamed Chilean seabass. Pretty hard to find this dish in DMV. Chilean seabass is a premium fish, and being able to order it steamed is very very rare, and much treasured. The rice is cooked perfectly well, moist and soft as it should be, when most other stores can't even cook white rice right. They also have quite a few other authentic dishes I have yet to try, but I'll be ordering much more from this store so not a problem! Just highly recommended.

Delivery portion is less than dine-in portion, but price for the same dish is higher.
Disappointing amount of beef in Mongolian beef. Dish was packed with onions.

Fried Rice and the white rice were great.
However, the General Tso's Chicken was awful. Barely any of the sauce left it just a naked mediocre chicken. Was not worth the $19 they charge for that atrocity.
