• 5/1/23When I originally visited the Torrance lunasia, it was shortly after they opened and a little chaotic. my order was not correct and the food was not as wonderful as the Cerritos location. I chalked it up to working out the Kinks of opening a new location.
I decided to try again and ordered delivery. I ordered Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs 椒鹽排骨 , which, by the way, seemed to be full pork loin chops, large, thick and juicy. Wonderful surprise.
I ordered the Pan-Fried Vermicelli w/ Curry 星洲炒米粉 (known to me as Singapore style rice noodle). Chock full of BBQ pork, shrimp so large you can't eat in one bite, egg and other delicious veggies.
The Hot and sour soup (Bowl) 酸辣湯 was also delicious, not too sour, the seasoning was well-balanced.
And finally, the Macao Style Egg Custard 葡國蛋撻. They were still warm, so I had to eat one right away. It was wonderful to bite into the warm, crispy crust and delicious soft custard center. YUMMMM!
I'm happy to see that the Torrance Lunasia appears to have gotten the recipe rythym. Will definitely return.

• 2/21/25Everything is pretty good but $$$, so you have to decide if money or time (to drive to SGV) is more important 😂
Lobster Fried Rice 龍蝦炒飯 was delicious but $$$. Has 2 tails (maybe 5oz?), no claws, body, etc. So for that price it's pretty much $30/tail plus $10/rice... And I cut my finger on the sharp foil lid 😢
Rice Noodle Roll w/ Beef 爽滑牛肉腸粉 was ok but kinda dense. Will not reorder.
Jumbo Shrimp Har-Gow 水晶蝦餃皇 and Mixed puff with pork 金勾鹹水角 were good, we order these regularly.
Baked B.B.Q. Pork Bun 凱旋餐包皇 was not as expected, got some pineapple BBQ pork bun that looked completely different but was a delight.
Will order again but only for special occasions.

• 5/3/24This is my 3rd try at Lunacia since the opening. My last two try were okay but I think their food quality has gotten so much better. Both hargow and Shumai were big and juicy. Shrimp eggroll was crips outside and juicy inside filled with big chunks of shrimp. Big Kudos to Lunacia Torrance tonight. Just wished they didnt forget to throw packets of soy sauce but no big deal. Im impressed. Hope they keep up!

• 9/21/25The"Roasted Duck" tasted fantastic!! It was tender and moist. I wished I had ordered the full serving! This restaurant is my go-to place when I'm homesick and/or am ill because the food, the way it's cooked, and taste take me back home to my childhood. Their special congees and other dishes tastes similar to my grandmother's cooking. Whenever I ordered, and whichever dish was tried, it was cooked, delivered, and presented with care and taste delicious!!!

• 7/6/25Underwhelming. Pros...beautiful packaging and presentation. Clearly the ingredients are quality, generous portions and prepared with care. Cons...lacks flavor and spice. The best was the honey walnut shrimp. Shrimp were large & crispy, good sauce with lots of walnuts. Kung Pao chicken and mongolian beef were just plain bland. We could see the garlic on the green beans but couldn't taste it. Even my son commented that the food had no taste.
