The most important question to ask of a fish & chip place: do they know how to fry? Mac's knows! The Turing test is when the cod has cooled down & the texture is still great, with crispity, crunchity edges maintained. I appreciate that they offer the 1/2 order of fries, as well as the variety available a la carte. Always well seasoned & quality is consistent:)

The most amazing fish and chips. #2 Cod the batter is light but crispy, the fish is perfectly flaky. I always get an assortment of singles as well. Side Walleye and Cheese Curds had the same light and crispy batter, whereas the Side Clams, Side Shrimp , and Side Chicken had a peppery slightly crunchy crispy batter which was perfect for them. The sauce quantities aren't particularly generous but the food has so much flavor you use less anyway. I would order from here ridiculously often if they were on dash pass, but the splurge is still worth it occasionally.

The chicken from macs used to be awesome. We received super tiny overcooked chicken that was dry and inedible. And not sure whats up with the black chunks in the breading.
