Mae Ornit is one of my favorite Thai spots in Northern VA. I grewup eating Thai food everyday so it's very easy for me to differentiate between Americanized Thai and true authentic Thai. Mae Ornit is authentic!! Everything ive eaten there so far has been delicious I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Hat Yai fried chicken—it arrived extra crispy (really appreciated this), hot to the touch, tender and juicy.
The fried shallots complimented the wings so well. 10/10 will order again!

The fillet telapia, was truly delicious, the sticky rice and the Lemoncello cake, , excellent. The shrimp in a pot, was forgettable, almost tasteless, no condiments that go with it.

Drunken noodle had a great char flavor but the fried tofu was very dry, lacking in salt and not as spicy as I expected. The panang was also lacking in salt and the curry was very thin. Other than that the food was great! I could tell the food was fresh. I will def give the another try.
